Perennially popular botanical elder has been used for thousands of years as a medicine in traditional practices. The elderberry, valued for its immune-boosting properties, has a history that spans across the globe, and author John Moody explores many aspects of the plant in this book. Chapters discuss elderberry’s history of use and appearance in historical documents, morphological features, cultivation, safe and sustainable foraging, and recipes for food and crafts that use all parts of the elder plant.
